The M/S Martin Friedrich is a self-propelled work pontoon with bow door. It is suited both for work in inland waterways and in coastal areas.
With its 3 anchor piles at the bow and stern, it can be accurately positioned and moored. It can fall dry, but it can also work as hydraulic anchor pile pontoon. As hydraulic anchor pile pontoon it can carry excavators of up to 80 t. The M/S Martin Friedrich can be used for many purposes and has a large deck.
Depending on the work to be carried out, M/S Martin Friedrich will be equipped with additional devices:
- with a hydraulic excavator for dredging and for riprap work
- with a cable-operated excavator for pile-driving and other excavating work
- with a Colcrete mixing plant with cement silos or with a Colcrete underwater placing unit, respectively
